Podia
Podia is a creator monetization startup that was burdened by an increasingly out-of-date brand. As their platform grew, the business started feeling its limitations when they wanted to speak to new audiences and expand the understanding of their product. They needed a forward-looking brand & web system that simplified their story and could evolve its ecosystem as they enter their next phase of their business.
Keeping creators in the game
It’s hard being a creator and even harder standing out in the crowded market of tools that have sprung up around them. The pandemic saw a boom in small businesses powered by the internet and while starting one has never been easier, it still requires the right toolkit to sustain it. To their power users, Podia is a trusted partner supporting them through every stage of their journey but the existing site couldn’t fully capture the platform’s capabilities or speak to the diverse range of creators it serves.
Foundations in movement
From the start, we approached motion design as more than just a decorative element—it was a critical tool for guiding users through the site and helping them intuitively grasp Podia's capabilities. Our team explored different ways to incorporate motion, ensuring it enhanced the user experience without overwhelming it. The work shown below represents some of the exploratory concepts we developed during this process, each serving as a stepping stone toward the final design.
Reimagining the blueprint
Equipped with a versatile new web system, Podia was able to rethink their site content from the ground up, making it easier to update and tailor messaging for creators at any of the platform’s entry points. Together with the visual identity, the site strikes a more creative, human, and inspirational tone that’s notably distinct from its competitors.
Fictive Kin understood where we’re at, and more importantly, where we’re headed. They brought a human touch to a space that can sometimes lose sight of the people it serves.
