Opendoor

Opendoor came to us at a volatile moment in the real estate market. While competitors were biding their time or exiting the space, Opendoor saw an opportunity to solidify its lead. Our goal was twofold: to elevate a brand refresh and empower their marketers with the tools to evolve Opendoor’s story.

  • Product Strategy
  • UI/UX Design
  • Motion Design
  • Frontend Development & Engineering
  • Backend Development & Engineering

A Platform for Every Home Journey

Opendoor’s reputation was built on the Sell product but the existing site struggled to earn the same trust for its other services. We redesigned the site’s navigation to facilitate the brand’s broader shift as a comprehensive partner in the home buying journey, ensuring each offering is clearly defined and easy to explore.

Mending A Fragmented System

Consistency had been a challenge on the old site with outdated branding scattered throughout and content split across a fragmented tech stack. Working from their codebase, we built a flexible, modular web system that could be deployed instantly. Opendoor’s marketing and content teams could now iterate faster, align messaging and ensure brand consistency across hundreds of pages – all with zero lift from their engineers.

Category Leader? Category Maker.

Having created the category, Opendoor wanted to move beyond the look and feel of traditional real estate platforms and position themselves as a premium service. We worked alongside a product team to get the new brand across the finish line—refining it, pushing its boundaries and stress testing across every touchpoint. Our product approach ensured the design system was both robust and scalable, catalyzing adoption internally and setting the stage for a seamless rollout.
